The Circle of Sorcerers to Release October 26th, 2011

We have gotten a firm release date of October 15th, 2011, and the book is back with the editor following her first edit and my revisions. Now,we undergo the same process in the second edit, but it should be much faster than the first since we have gone through the whole thing, and the second edit consists primarily of negotiating any other changes not covered in the first edit.

The Circle of Sorcerers in Editing

The Circle of Sorcerers is in editing, and I’ve set a tentative date of September 25th for release. I should get the book back from Lynn O’Dell sometime this week or maybe next week, and then go through and make revisions as needed. If I’m confident for a September release, I’ll go ahead and begin finalizing everything for the 25th. I think this one can get out the door by October 1st.

Falling Off the Shelf

Due to some sort of Amazon glitch, The Dying Times has “fallen off” the virtual shelf at that retailer. I can only say that saying it has been a stressful time since this happened is an understatement.

I’ve been working with Amazon’s KDP service to get the title reinstated, but it’s not back yet. The paperback editions of both books are still available, and the Kindle version of the second book is still up. Hopefully, it will be resolved quickly and ...

Book #3 finished, going to editing

I’ve finished the writing part of Book #3, Prisoner and Survivor. This one details the experiences of a convicted murdered in the times of the living dead. I think fans of the series will be pleased in how it starts to tie everything together.

Time to edit and start working on the cover art. I have something special in mind for this cover, and then it’s the long, arduous process of editing and proofreading for me.

From several less-than-stellar reviews on Amazon, I can only gather that many people who are now reading The Dying Times are not checking out samples of the book prior to purchasing or not reading the samples available on Amazon.

Kickstarter Project Success and Other News

The Kickstarter Project has succeeded.  Thanks to all the pledges and support over these long weeks!  There were a couple of times in the project that I didn’t think we were going to make it, but I’m so glad that we did!  It reached the goal, so it’s time for a little saving and scrimping on my end to save up the rest for the advertising!

Kindle Sales: 10k-15k on Amazon Ranking

As a follow-up to this article, I wanted to briefly post this evening that sales on the Amazon Kindle edition of the book are teetering around the 10,000-15,000 sales rank mark.  It seems to have stabilized right around this point, and that will be a good starting point for the advertising campaigns that begin this month and in January.  I am very excited!

The Dying Times has been sent to the printer, it has returned, it has been approved, and it has been added to the distribution database.  The only thing to do now is wait until retailers receive this information and update their websites so that it will be ready for purchase.
