Giveaway in the Planning for Q1, 2011

Posted by:

I am planning to offer a giveaway beginning in January, 2011, consisting of a Kindle 3G, as (usually) seen on the front page of Amazon.com, and a few other goodies for second and third prizes, such as signed copies.

Stay tuned.  I am working out the full details of the sweepstakes, and I’ll have it ready by January 1st.

One way to enter will be through purchasing digital or print copies of the book, but don’t worry:  anyone who ...

Late Nite Books now Hosted with BlueHost!

Posted by:

Yes, yes, I know.  I should have switched a long time ago.  I was with iPage, but it just wasn’t handling WordPress very well, and it was pretty slow.

I’m with BlueHost now, and I can tell I like it already.  Just visiting the tech support was enough to sell me on this hosting service.  I know I’m an author who writes books, and I should probably be talking about my book in these posts, but I am ...

Today’s News: Amazon sales and more

Posted by:

I didn’t want to write three separate blogs for today’s happenings, so I went ahead and combined them all into one for today’s update.  First, I’ve purchased the domain reviewswap.com (which is not up yet in any form), and I will begin working on some custom software to allow independent authors the ability to read each others’ books, post reviews to the website, and agree to post the reviews to Amazon, as well.  This won’t just be an automatic 5-star ...

Kindle Sales: 10k-15k on Amazon Ranking

Posted by:

As a follow-up to this article, I wanted to briefly post this evening that sales on the Amazon Kindle edition of the book are teetering around the 10,000-15,000 sales rank mark.  It seems to have stabilized right around this point, and that will be a good starting point for the advertising campaigns that begin this month and in January.  I am very excited!

The Kickstarter project ends on December 10th, so that funding should help dramatically with ...

Newsletter to Provide Discounts, Giveaways.

Posted by:

I have added a newsletter signup to the left sidebar for those interested.  Basically, this will serve as a medium by which fans of the books can opt-in to receive updates and news about releases, special discount coupon codes, giveaways, and the free survivor short stories as soon as they are released.  My commitment against spam remains as strong as it has ever been: your information will not be sold, traded, or given away to third parties.

The newsletters will be posted (in ...

The Dying Times Runs for a Month

Posted by:

The Dying Times: Nadene’s Story has been out for a month (as of yesterday).  My, my, does time fly!  This article is to look at the sales of the book with little to no advertising whatsoever.  With the Kickstarter project 7 days out from fulfillment, we will see some real advertising effort in January and beyond, but this article focuses on the data we do have based solely on publicity and social networking efforts.  To make it even better, I’ve ...

The Dying Times Sent to Printer

Posted by:

The Dying Times: Nadene’s Story, the first book in the Survivor Chronicles series, has been sent to the printer.  What an exciting time!

I am pleased to have been at the helm of this very tiring process, but the book shall soon come to fruition.  We are well on schedule for a release at least by November 22nd, 2010, though it will probably be available before that date.  I am going to leave the release date the same for safety at ...
